We Want To Make Sure You
Never Sunburn
The indoor tanning industry has been more effective at teaching sunburn
prevention than those who promote complete sun avoidance. Non-tanners
sunburn more often than people who tan indoors.
An estimated 30 million North Americans patronize indoor tanning
facilities at some point during the year. Every year, millions of
indoor tanners successfully develop "base tans" before embarking on
sunny vacations -- tans that, combined with the proper use of sunscreen
outdoors, help them prevent sunburn.
A tan is the body's natural protection against
sunburn. Your skin is designed to tan as a natural body function.
The Tanning Hut is part of the solution in the ongoing battle against
sunburn and in teaching people how to identify a safe, proper and
practical life-long way to tan. This also includes showing
you how to protect your eyes by wearing protective UV eyewear sold
at our salon. These "goggles" are made especially for indoor
tanning & the lenses are made by Kodak. They will protect
your eyes while tanning but not leave you with "raccoon eyes" like some
of the cheaper versions do. By wearing the "goggles" you will
prevent possible cataracts, blurred vision as well night vision. Your
eyes will thank you for it.
Lastly, we show you by wearing proper indoor tanning
lotion that it will put more moisture into your skin which will prevent
peeling and unnecessary burning but give you the most color your skin
will allow. The indoor tanning lotions have many nutrients and
botanicals your body needs to keep it looking and feeling great. We
offer many different kinds and will be happy to assist you in finding
the right one for you and your skin type.
